We are City Care Southwest

Our Story

City Care Southwest began with a shared belief between Rhiannon, Terri and Tony, that care should feel human, familiar and kind.

Between us, we had seen how difficult it could be for people and families to access care that truly met their needs. Terri and Rhiannon struck up their friendship whilst working as community carers almost 12 years ago and too often, care had felt rushed, inconsistent, or focused on tasks rather than people. They saw how the absence of time, continuity and genuine connection could leave people feeling unsupported in their own homes.

We knew there had to be a better way. So we came together to create City Care Southwest as a local, values-led care provider built on relationships, not rotas. From the very start, we wanted to offer care that feels personal, where people are supported by familiar faces, listened to, and given the time they deserve.

Being part of our local community matters deeply to us. We believe that when our staff are looked after and know the area, the people, and the everyday rhythms of life, care feels more natural and more meaningful. Whether it’s helping someone pop to the shops, enjoy time outdoors, or simply share conversation and companionship, these moments are at the heart of what we do.

City Care Southwest was founded with a simple promise: to care for people the way we would want our own families to be cared for;

with warmth, respect, and genuine compassion!
