Be the change that care needs.

Established in 2023, but with roots that go back so much further.

Having worked in social care for many years, together and separately, we had always talked about the challenges that staff face, how access to services is complex and difficult to navigate for people and that the idea of what care should be at its most fundamental level, was getting lost in translation.

With previous good and outstanding CQC inspections under our belts along with Good Ofsted inspections, we decided that care should, and could be better! City Care Southwest is committed to inspiring positive change in the Health and Social Care Sector, we want to be the change that is needed, and we invite you to join us.

Our values

Work with a company that values your passion for care

We are responsive and communicative, and unafraid of tackling big issues. Our team will be attentive to the needs of anyone we work with or speak to.

We will always act with the utmost integrity and if something doesn’t go well, we will own our mistakes and turn them into lessons.

We are people who want to make a difference, not only for ourselves and our clients, but for the whole of social care. It can be done better, and our team will prove it.

We’re just getting started

Terri Head
Terri Lawes
Founder & Director

My passion and my heart are in children’s social care. I want to build a service that can deliver high quality, warm and supportive services to children who need it most. It’s a challenging but exceptionally rewarding area of care that I feel is hugely under served. I want to develop an emotionally strong, diverse and motivated team to support children in the southwest realise their potential no matter what the barriers may be.

Founder & Director

What motivates me most is championing the individual; I just want to be able to support a person in whatever way is most helpful and to do it for whoever it is that needs my help. I know my staff feel this way too, so I want “doing the right thing” to be easy for them. That means being open to feedback, whether it’s good or bad, as a positive driver of change. Every person has a voice, and something to bring and I want to harness that and use it to make a real difference for adults in care.

Registered Manager - Adults

I’ve been in the health and social care sector for around 8 years, working my way up to Registered Manager from a Health Care Assistant Role. I believe that, with a happy workforce, I can provide the best level of person-centred care by supporting, encouraging, and promoting independence and partnership.

I worked in Social Housing for more than ten years, supporting people to live happy and safely. After working with a number of families and children, I developed a passion for making a difference for Children and Young People and wanted to develop this passion further. I am now studying to become a qualified youth worker so i can support the Children and Young People we work with better.

Senior Carer

Coming from a large family I’ve always felt drawn to care work and supporting the most vulnerable in our society. Through my working life I’ve made it my priority to be an individual that others can reach out to and feel safe, as it’s important to me that everyone has the quality care they deserve. I decided to join this team because they are passionate about bringing essential care to our local community.
