The City Care Delivering Training Programme has been designed to support Peer Mentors and Senior Carers in developing the knowledge, skills, and confidence required to plan, deliver, assess, and evaluate effective training sessions.

Throughout the programme, learners will explore key training principles including learner engagement, communication, lesson planning, assessment, inclusive practice, and training delivery. Participants will apply their learning through practical activities, reflective exercises, and the delivery of a microteach session.

The programme also introduces learners to the principles of assessment and competency checking, supporting them to confidently assess understanding, observe practice, provide constructive feedback, and contribute to the development of colleagues within the workplace.

This programme is ideal for colleagues who support the learning and development of others, deliver workplace training, mentor new staff, assess competency, or are preparing to take on a training role within City Care.
